A brief history of Checking Pulse
Checking Pulse are a 4 piece female fronted pop/punk electronica band storming out of the South Coast. Their sound is best described as a mixture of Paramore, You Me at Six, Lady Gaga and Forever the Sickest Kids.Having recently completed a successful UK tour with their friends - electronica pop band Amy Can Flyy, Checking Pulse have broken their way in to the UK pop punk scene and gained themselves a loyal fan base.
The band changed their original line up and new guitarist Adam joined them just over 2 months ago. This means that Checking Pulse are now gigging with their strongest line up ever and have already completed sold out support shows with the mighty All Forgotten and Not Advised.
The band consists of Emily Wilson - vocals, Adam Hughes - guitar, Henry Hopkins - bass and Chris Ridgers - drums and electronics. All four members are professionally trained musicians and carry a BA Honors Degree in Music after studying their instruments for many years.
Checking Pulse have built up a strong reputation of being an excellent live band to watch and have often been told they sound "better than the CD" when performing live. As soon as the band steps on to the stage and lead singer Emily starts to sing, the room explodes with energy and the band deliver catchy melodies, fierce riffs and powerful lyrics performing full throttle throughout the set, whilst still managing to hold the amazing live sound that they are so well known for.
Checking Pulse have had the fortune of supporting some great band in the past including the likes of sold out shows with Hadouken!, Futures, and Not Advised. Checking Pulse will continue to support the fellow UK acts whilst breaking further into the UK music industry
